The Adoption Research and Counselling Service offers an information and professional counselling service to individuals and families affected by adoption, fostering or separation from biological family. We assist those who have experienced past trauma and loss and we understand the impact this can have on the present. Care Leavers of Australia Network (CLAN)
CLAN is a national support and advocacy network for people who were in foster care and the 500+ orphanages and children's Homes. CLAN also host a national library of books on the histroy of orphanages/homes, and personal stories written by people who have grown up in care.

Catholic Migrant Centre

Yorgum Aboriginal Corporation provides the following services:

  • Counselling - provides counselling to Aboriginal people who have been affected by Child Sexual Abuse and Family Violence and underlying issues.
  • Link-up Program – provide services to Aboriginal people who have been affected by past Government policies and practices who were forcibly institutionalised, adopted or separated from their families. This service provides family tracing, reunion services, counselling and support.
  • Community Development – provides family violence community workshops and training, consults with and supports Aboriginal community groups on a needs basis.
